e-voc from 22.09.2010 - Toi, Toy, Tobi
Dear Friends of vocaldente,
Well, we really let him have it, that Tobi. On the way to the stage in Königslutter's summery cathedral garden, and in response to a well-meant 'Toi Toi Toi' (Italian for 'good luck'), Tobi answered, 'thank you.' What a fauxpas! Every showbiz kid knows that this response brings bad luck. And what happened onstage during the very first song? The choir microphones start to produce feedback noise. Tobi, Tobi, Tobi...
Fortunately, the sound problem was quickly solved and the performance a great success. Naiveté seemed to soften the impact of the crash in this case. Nevertheless our Tobi was feeling, naturally, a bit down. To put the 'toi,toi,toi' incident right again, he reclused himself for a few days and created some wonderful internet games, or online-'toys'.
Toy 1: A vocaldente world map
Whosoever has always wanted to know all the many paths the boys of vocaldente have forged since 2007, he or she can find out now with just one CLICK. Each concert has been commemorated with a small needle on the world map. The visual effect is somewhat amusing, especially over Germany...
Toy 2: vocaldente Fanbook
You can even win at this game! You do, admittedly, have to have a Facebook profile to participate. The 'Fanbook' is somewhat comparable to the sticker collection albums of our youth, just online. Funny and/or interesting videoclips of vocaldente can be collected or traded. What can one win? A big, fat 'Fan Package' with CD's and DVD's! Everyone has a chance to win who has the first 'collection page' filled out completely. Toy 3: Videocasts #11 South Korea and #12 Taiwan
In both new episodes of our Videocasts you get a peek in front of and behind the scenes of our most recent visits to Jeju-Island (South Korea) and Taiwan. Here we present ourselves in, among other things, some pretty 'hot' swimwear and even let the cameras follow us through our early morning fever-measuring ceremony.
For so many new internet 'toys' we would of course like to say an effusive 'Thanks, Tobi!' Surely we will have to put up with the response, that one never answers 'Toy Toy Toy' with 'Thank You'...and with the smug remark, that the day is not yet done – that the Fanforum is now linked up to our website, with development pending on an icon and lots more great stuff. Wow!
With all the various possibilities on the internet, is seeing vocaldente live even worth it anymore? Yes, definitely! Because only live can you hear the lovely new pieces on the program, and only live can you test if Tobi has learned his lesson and answers every teasing 'toi toi toi' with a mere, disgruntled furrowing of his brow. Starting mid-October we will be touring in Taiwan with guest appearances in Singapur. As always: a look into the calendar is worth it!
