e-voc from 29.08.2011 - The Coronation of Jakob
Dear friends of vocaldente,
An a cappella ensemble is like any romantic relationship: in the beginning it's la vie en rose, the whole world open, and one believes in the eternal bond and endless possibility of love. But just as in any bodice-buster something always has to stand in the way: another love (like guitar), the ex (a former job just calling to be rediscovered) or simply....life itself! This time: the fickle hand of fate – Micha, our second tenor, fell so in love on one vocaldente tour, that he now is taking the great leap into the unknown and over the pond to his new love in the USA. Whoever wasn't among the circa 8,000 visitors who experienced the 'Songs to a Summer Evening' live can still see a portion of our last performance with Micha at Kloster Banz on Youtube. For the sportier among you we also have a documented account of our high-wire training in the cloister gardens.

And just like any romance, vocaldente mourned the ex yet around the corner, new love springs eternal! Jakob is our new conquest, who has not only enchanted us but romanced our audience as well! We have already returned from the honeymoon: a priveleged circle of American citizens had the honor of our first concert in new constellation, face to face, in Blowing Rock, North Carolina.
Speaking of face to face: whosoever wants to see not only Jakob but all of the five beautiful creatures of our ensemble can do so on our homepage, which features brand new photos from our last photo shooting, so click away to your heart's content. A special highlight in November: Both Hannover concerts on the 22nd and 23rd, this time are revisiting our roots in the 'Sound Temple' of the Waldorfschule at the Maschsee. Headline Education: For all of you, who haven't personally or digitally found this out on the homepage – vocaldente 'educates'! Recently we have established our 'workshops' page on our homepage to be perused and astounded by! Whosoever would like the opportunity of a workshop with vocaldente for his organization, school, or choir, come and take a look around right here.
Headline World Dominance: Ever since vocaldente has (seemingly effortlessly however not without some work) established itself as the most internationally active German a cappella ensemble, we have climbed that ladder of success one rung higher in the direction of 'Fame, Fortune and Cash'. As of this year, vocaldente is now managed by Robin Klinger Entertainment, NY, for the entire American and Canadian market, for which we are not only thankful but very excited.
One effect: As of this past July, vocaldente will be in the USA at least once a month. Good news for friends and fans in the USA! But also good news for all, that experience vocaldente in Germany in the meantime: our english pronunciation is bound to improve! :)
Thus we can't wait for a 'glorious' future with our (hopefully last!) rookie member, for new opportunities in the 'Land of Endless Possibilities' and for wonderful future concerts and experiences with many loyal and new faces, here and there, near and far.
