vocaldente win 1st prize in Asia

Luck has remained by our side, following us all the way from America to our three-week tour of Singapore, Taiwan and South Korea - we've managed to scoop another fantastic first prize here in Asia, too!

After we already successfully competed in the Harmony Sweepstakes in May, the biggest American contest of its kind, where we were awarded the 1st Prize of the Jury and the Audience Favourite Award, we've now also won the biggest Asian a cappella/vocal contest.

It's the first prize of the 2008 Taiwan International Contemporary A Cappella Competition to be precise, which was held for the eighth time since its inauguration in 2001.

The jury consisted of a "who's who" of the Asian a cappella scene that also awarded us the special award for Best Choreography, chosen ahead of the other participants which featured ten high quality groups from Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Macao, Hong Kong, Sweden as well as Germany.

After the concerts, gigs and workshops in Singapore (ie at "The Arts House" and the German Embassy) last week, this is the perfect opening to our tour of Taiwan. And next week, we hit South Korea (at the renowned "Young-San Art Hall" in Seoul amongst others)!

And part of the luggage - designed specially for this occasion - vocaldente as cuddly Manga characters! Currently, only available on postcards - for now anyway! ;-)
